Arsenal soars above the Premier League after a brilliant first 18 games of the season.

The title race is far from over, however, as the Gunners have yet to play defending champions Manchester City TWICE this season.

The first game between the two has been called off, but is now fast approaching as Pep Guardiola’s side attempt to recover the North Londoners’ eight-point deficit.

But Arsenal know that if they can win the first meeting at the Emirates, the trophy will be one step closer to a return to Arsenal for the first time since 2004.

When is Arsenal v Man City?

The Premier League match in the Emirates is on the schedule Wednesday February 15.

Kick-off is currently set for 7:30 p.m

Their second meeting should then take place on Wednesday, April 26 at 8 pm

Why was Arsenal v Man City rescheduled?

This game was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 19, but was moved after the Gunners’ Europa League game against PSV Eindhoven had to be changed.

Arsenal should play against PSV on Thursday 15 September, but had to cancel that match due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Police resources had to be stretched so that the match could not go on safely and Arsenal risked losing three points if they failed to pull off that Europa League tie.

It was eventually agreed that Arsenal would play PSV in the Europa League on Thursday 20 October, postponing the game against City.

Arsenal v Man City: what was said?

Pep Guardiola on Arsenal: “She [Arsenal] are going to earn 100 points or more, as they have done so far. If they keep going like this, we won’t catch them.

“We need to be close to perfect by the end of the season I would say and hopefully they let their performance down a bit because yesterday (against Newcastle United) they were excellent.

“We’ll see what happens.”
