The Indian cricket team could not clear the final hurdle in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, losing the title battle against Australia by 6 wickets on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. PM Modi himself was present at the stadium to watch the Indian team take on Australia to end a 12-year wait for the ODI World Cup. But, Pat Cummins’ men got the better of Rohit Sharma’s army, much to the disappointment of the host nation. Seeing the likes of Rohit, Virat Kohli and others dejected, PM Modi joined them in the Team India dressing room and tried to lift their spirits.

“However, 10-10 games are going on, but you are happy. Muskuraiye bhai, desh aap logon ko dekh raha hai. Maine socha mil lun sab ko. (You guys have won 10 games in a row. This is a normal loss, it keeps happening. Please smile, the whole country is watching you. I thought I should go and meet you guys), ” said PM Modi.
Speaking to Ravindra Jadeja, the CEO said: “Cabin (says something in Gujarati as both laugh)”
The Prime Minister was also praising Mohammed Shami who finished the tournament as the leading wicket taker.
“Arrey Shami, bahut accha kiya iss baar.(Well done Shami. You played very well this time),” he said.
To Bumrah, he said: “You speak Gujarati?” In response, Bumrah said, “a little bit”.
Further in the vision, PM Modi said, “But, aap sab log bahut acchi mehnat kare ho. Chaliye, te hai. It is how you are happy and you are happy with the chaliye card.
