Hyderabad – SS Rajamouli announces Made in India : Famous director SS Rajamouli, known for his grand films like Baahubali, RRR, has announced a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema. SS Rajamouli announced on Tuesday that he is making Made in India, a biopic on the father of Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke. Rajamouli said that he was very impressed with the script of this film.
‘When I heard the story of this film, the story moved me emotionally. Making a biopic is a tough task but imagining the father of Indian cinema is even more challenging. Our team is ready for it. We are very proud to present Made in India,’ said SS Rajamouli in a social media post.

Rajamouli also shared a teaser announcing the film. While telling the features of this film, he said that he is making a biopic of Indian cinema. The film will be directed by Nitin Kakkar. Kakkar has previously produced films like Filmistan, Mitron and Jawani Jaaneman. Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya will make his debut as a filmmaker with this film. He worked as a line producer of RRR film. SS Karthikeya wrote in his social media post that, ‘I wanted to fulfill my dream of becoming a producer. That moment has now arrived. I will fulfill the challenge of Made in India with utmost responsibility.’
Dadasaheb Phalke, known as the father of Indian cinema, made the first full-length Indian film in 1913 titled Raja Harishchandra. Born in Trimbak near Nashik, Dadasaheb’s real name was Dhundiraj Govind Phalke. Earlier Marathi film Harishchandra’s Factory was made on this subject. The film won many awards and was liked by the audience. Now, thanks to SS Rajamouli, this story can reach across the country and abroad.
