Pune: A simultaneous chess tournament has been organized on Sunday 24th September on behalf of Vinayak Navayug Mitra Mandal Trust at Bhandarkar Road. The competition will be held at the pavilion of Vinayak Navayug Mitra Mandal Trust at Sane Dairy Chowk on Bhandarkar Street.
Organized on the occasion of the diamond jubilee year of the board, the 60 budding players participating in this exhibition match will get an opportunity to play against the woman grand master Isha Karwade along with the international master Abhishek Kelkar at the same time.
Every year on the occasion of Republic Day, rapid chess competition is organized on behalf of the board. Earlier, Grandmaster Abhijit Kunte participated in the simultaneous chess tournament held on the occasion of golden jubilee year of the board.
