Pune – Unknown persons killed Vijay Vasant Dhume (age 44, Chinchwadgaon) by stabbing him on the head with an iron rod and a wooden stick. The incident took place near a lodge on Sinhagad road on Friday evening.
According to the police, Vijay Dhume is the son of a retired police officer. He was coming out of a lodge in Sinhagad road area around 9:50 pm. At that time four to five unknown persons attacked Vijay in the parking lot. He was hit on the head with an iron rod and a wooden stick. He died due to severe injuries.
Sinhagad road police rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident. In this regard, the work of filing a case in the Sinhagad road police station started till late at night. Senior Police Inspector Abhay Mahajan said that the police are searching for the accused and checking the CCTV footage of the area.
