Pune : ICC World Cup 2023 : Cricket World Cup has started in India from 5th October today. The special thing about this is that after 27 years, the ICC Men’s Cup Cricket Tournament matches will be held in Pune. With the efforts of Maharashtra Cricket Association President Rohit Pawar and (Gahunje International Stadium) Apex Body, the host of ICC Men Cup cricket tournament of Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) at Gahunje has got the title of five matches of this year’s World Cup. The main attraction is the Indian cricket team’s (World Cup cricket matches) match against Bangladesh on October 19. On the whole, a special conversation has been held with Suhas Patwardhan, member of the apex body of Maharashtra Cricket Association, regarding the preparations for the matches to be held at the international stadium in Gahunje.
On this occasion Suhas Patwardhan, member of Apex Board of Maharashtra Cricket Association said that it is a matter of great pride for us that 5 matches of this year’s World Cup matches will be held at Gahunje International Stadium. Also, the important thing is that after this World Cup, we are going to provide special facilities for watering the stadium. Special facility of stopping water and water will be provided in the future. Also, the spectators who will come to watch the matches in the stadium will be given free water. Pavilions are being made on both sides of the stadium. So that the audience will not suffer from the heat.
He also added that 5 matches will be played at Gahunje International Stadium. 8 parking lots have been arranged for those matches and specially, the spectators who are going to buy tickets will be shown how to come by online mail and WhatsApp. Suhas Patwardhan also said that by talking to Pune Municipality, Pimpri Municipality and PMRDA, buses will also be arranged for the audience.
