Mumbai / Thane : This year, 3,874 ST buses and six free trains have been released from the districts of Mumbai, Thane, Palghar for the convenience of the large number of people going to Konkan due to the rush of Ganeshotsav. About one thousand ST buses were released from Thane to Konkan through Chief Minister Shinde and his MP son Shrikant. Interestingly, due to the ‘wholesale’ ST reservation made by Shinde, the other political parties did not get enough seats. Lakhs of chakarmani go to Konkan every year for Ganeshotsav. As these passengers will put a heavy burden on the transport system, special trains are planned in advance. This year group reservation (group reservation) of 3 thousand 53 buses of ST Corporation has been made for Ganeshotsav while 821 additional buses have been reserved. Accordingly, 3874 buses ran from Mumbai, Thane, Palghar to Konkan during the period from 15th to 18th September. In this, the dominance of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s party was seen this year.
