The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the final set of tickets for the away matches have been released.
BCCI said, the tickets for the 1st semi-final which is expected on November 15, the 2nd semi-final on November 16, and the grand final on November 19 will be made available from Thursday, November 9, at 8:00 pm. The official ticketing website, https://tickets.cricketworldcup.com, will be the platform for fans to secure their seats.
“This is the last chance for cricket fans who want to experience the magic and thrill of the World Cup and witness a new trophy in person,” BCCI said.
The first semi-final will be played at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai while the other will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. India will be playing in the Mumbai stadium. The final will be played at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
While the home team India has already secured the highest position with 8 wins in as many matches, arch-rivals Pakistan now have a chance to make it to the semi-finals and face the dominant cricket side Rohit Sharma. Babar Azam’s men are now fifth in the World Cup table with 8 points from 8 games with a net run rate of 0.036. They will face England in their final series match on Saturday (November 11) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Currently, New Zealand, Pakistan and Afghanistan are tied with 8 points. So the result of their league final will affect the teams’ semi-final chances. If New Zealand win their match against Sri Lanka, they will have a better chance of qualifying for the semi-finals against top seed India as they have a significant gap in their run rate against Pakistan even if Babar Azam’s men win their match in the face of England.
