Mumbai : Preparations for Ganeshotsav are going on all over the country including Maharashtra. Ganeshotsav will be celebrated from tomorrow i.e. from September 19 to September 28. Special trains along with regular trains have been provided for the passengers going to Konkan from Central Railway. Central Railway has now taken a big decision for passengers going to West Maharashtra and Konkan. A special train will be left from Mumbai to Kolhapur on 23rd September. Passengers of western Maharashtra will get relief due to this decision. Central Railway will run Ganpati Special Train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai to Kolhapur (01099). This train will not return to Mumbai from Kolhapur. Passengers going to Konkan can take this special train to Kolhapur from there to Konkan by ST or other vehicles.

When will the train leave?

According to information given by Central Railway, Ganpati Festival Special Train will run on Saturday 23rd September at 12 midnight. It will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai in 30 minutes. It’s 11 am. Will reach Kolhapur in 30 minutes.

At which stations will this train stop?

Central Railway has informed that this train departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai will stop at Dadar, Kalyan, Lonavla, Pune, Jejuri, Lonand, Satara, Karad, Kirloskarwadi, Sangli, Miraj, Hatkanangle stations. This special express to Dadar 00.42, Kalyan to 1 midnight. Will reach at 32. It will reach Lonavala at 3 am, Pune at 4 am and 5 am. So, in Jejuri 4. At 58, Lonandala 5. 29, 7.18 to Satara station, 8.15 to Karad, 8.50 minutes to Kirloskarwadi, Sangli 9. 40, will reach Miraj at 10.15, Hatkanangle at 10.40 minutes and Kolhapur at 11.30. At Pune Junction and Miraj Junction this train will stop for 5 minutes and at other stations it will stop for 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, this train will have 24 coaches. It will have 12 sleeper coaches, 2 SLR coaches, two coaches of 2 tier AC, 4 coaches of three tier AC and four coaches of general class. According to the information given by Central Railway, ticket booking for this train will start on 20 September 2023 at 8 am on Wednesday.
