Maxwell came into bat as early as the ninth over, when Australia’s hopes were fading. Not only that, Azmatullah Omarzai was on his hat-trick when Maxwell came into bat. In the first ball that Maxwell faced, the Afghanistan team was behind him after Maxwell got the better of his bat on the way to the keeper.
