Formula 1 fans can now marry at the same venue where the racing stars will take to the track this weekend at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The Vegas strip has already been transformed ahead of this weekend’s race with the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen competing with the hundreds of thousands expected to attend.
And the usual features at a Formula 1 event look strange – an F1 themed wedding chapel has been added to the ring and fans are able to legally marry during the race just meters away from the track.
The Chapel, called ‘Race To The Altar’ has been set up to be ready for the weekend, decorated with red roses and signs inspired by the Las Vegas strip. One sign reads: “Let Go and Together We Go,” while another says: “Drive Carefully and Come Back Soon”.
Since the release of images of the church many seem to be saying the same thing, criticizing the F1’s decision to allow the altar.
