Considering his usefulness on the Indian pitch, Ravindra got the ticket to the World Cup. Before this tournament, he played an all-round performance of 61 runs and 4 wickets in the ODI against England at Lord’s.

Rachin started at No.3 for the first time for New Zealand in a warm-up match against Pakistan before the World Cup. He scored 97 against Pakistan.

In the very first match of the World Cup, Rachin got an opportunity to play at number three. Taking advantage of this opportunity, he scored a powerful century against England.

Root laid the foundations of England’s innings

Why Narendra Modi stadium remained empty?

The match which is being held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad does not seem to have gathered enough crowd. The same is being discussed on social media.

It is a mid-week day and India are not playing, so there is talk that there may have been less crowd for the match.

The exact number of seats filled in this 1,32,000-seat stadium is not yet available.

Meanwhile, the spectators in the stands are less, but the enthusiasm of the players on the field has not been affected. On the strength of Joe Root’s half-century, England has crossed the two-hundred-run mark in the match.

This record happened in this match

The first run of the World Cup came from a six. England’s Bairstow opened his team’s account by hitting Trent Boult for a six on the second ball of the first over.

All 11 England players scored double-digit runs. This is the first time in the history of international cricket that all 11 batsmen scored double-digit runs in an innings. Jos Buttler’s team has registered this record.
