20 cricketers qualify for the 2023 World Cup
If Indian team coach Rahul Dravid decides to continue with a few experience, Shikhar Dhawan, skipper Rohit Shara and Virat Kohli will be the formidable first three. The likes of Ishan Kishan, Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill are also likely to be eyed for the opening. Coming down to mid-order, the men in blue would rather have a tested hitter than repeat the mistake they made in 2019. There will be plenty of mid-order fights, but players like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant are likely to make the cut.

India Cricket Review: What is the DEXA Test? BCCI brings back MANDATORY yo-yo test, also makes DEXA test mandatory for returning injured players, follow live updates
Suryakumar Yadav will also compete after his exploits in the T20I format in 20222. Other players who will challenge the middle order are Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson. India will join the all-rounders alongside Hardik and will serve veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja depending on his fitness.
Axar Patel has also thrived on the opportunities that came his way during Jadeja’s absence. If he continues to do well, the selectors will have to make a huge call. In addition to the aforementioned names, personalities such as Shahbaz Ahmed and Washington Sundar will push for a spot with their performance.

Selectors can also look to add a spinner that can pick wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav would definitely be there. With versatile bowlers already on the team, their selection and place in the playing XI is determined during the line-up. His arrival in Jasprit Bumrah’s pace bowling department is a certainty as he is currently trying to get fit in time.
Arshdeep Singh has been outstanding and will be hard to ignore in the roster. If India goes for swing bowling, they will have to choose between Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Deepak Chahar. Mohammed Shami and Mohammad Siraj are never far from the final cut.

BCCI publishes guidelines for managing player workload
Following the meeting, BCCI releases a statement revealing plans for injury and workload management. To prevent players from getting injured more often, the BCCI has asked the NCA to work with IPL teams on workload management. In addition to the Jojo test, the BCCI has made the Dexa test mandatory. The test is mandatory for any player who wants to return to the Indian squad after injury.
The rules are also set for young players who dream of playing for India. Young players will need to play a significant number of domestic matches to be eligible for selection in India. It remains to be seen how effective this new rule will be.
