Thiruvananthapuram: ICC ODI World Cup 2023 practice matches have started. There were two practice matches today Saturday but both matches had to be canceled due to rain. The first match was to be played between India and England. This match was in Guwahati, but due to rain, the match could not be played after the toss. The second match was between Australia and Netherlands in Thiruvananthapuram. The match was reduced to 23 overs each due to rain. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, he scored 166 for 7 in 23 overs. In reply, when the Netherlands team took to the field, they were faced with an unimaginable penetration of bowling.
Mitchell Starc bowled Australia’s first over. He dismissed Max O Down LBW on the fifth ball of the first over. Then on the sixth ball, Starc bowled Wesley Baresi. During the 15th over of the Netherlands’ innings, rain started again and the match was called off. Netherlands were 84 for 6 when the match was abandoned. Before the World Cup, Mitchell Starc has given a warning to all the rival teams by taking a hat-trick. Starc is known for his penetrating bowling.
