Asian Games 2023 : India started the Asian Games 2023 with a silver medal on day seven. India’s 10m air pistol mixed doubles team won India’s 13th silver medal. The team consisted of Sarabjot Singh and Divya. They could not beat the Chinese pair in the gold medal match. Sarabjot and Divya scored 14 points while the Chinese team scored 16 points.
When the gold medal match started, India’s pair of Sarabjot Singh and Divya were leading by 4 points. They then took this lead to 7-5 against China. However, the Chinese pair playing in their home country gave India a tough fight to make up for this deficit and finally they won the match 16-14 and captured the gold medal. Indian shooters had to settle for a silver medal.
After this silver medal, India has taken its medal tally to 34. India has so far won a total of 34 medals including 8 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze medals. He is currently fourth in the medal table.
