Anil Kapoor: Anil Kapoor is an important name in Indian cinema. People recognize them by their voice and walking style. Anil Kapoor is mimicked in many comedy shows. That makes people go crazy.
However, now his voice or anything related to him cannot be done without Anil Kapoor’s permission. Because, actor Anil Kapoor had filed a petition in the court about this. He filed an application in the High Court seeking a ban on Anil Kapoor from unauthorized use of his name, voice, signature, photograph or anything associated with him without his permission.
New brands are emerging in the digital age. It was pointed out that some brands were using the actor’s photos without his permission to build their identity. Actor and producer Anil Kapoor therefore filed a suit in the Delhi High Court to protect his publicity/personality rights.
In the suit regarding the misuse of his photo, Anil Kapoor said, “I had filed a suit in the Delhi High Court through my lawyer Mr. Amit Naik for protection of my personality rights including my name, image, voice and other attributes of my personality. Use of my photos on digital media was happening.”(Latest Marathi News)
Justice Pratibha M. Singh announced the decision, which said that no one can use Anil Kapoor’s name, likeness, voice or any characteristic of his identity to create items, ringtones or other products.
Anil Kapoor’s AKFCN-produced film “Thank You for Coming” recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and received a standing ovation. The film is slated to release on October 6, 2023. (Latest Marathi News)
