Indian team is currently playing a 3-match ODI series against Australia. The third match of this series will be played soon. Team India has announced its squad for this match and many players have been rested. The important thing is that there is no name of Akshar Patel in this.

Akshar was injured while playing against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. He then missed the first two ODIs against Australia. Now everyone was hoping that he would be fully fit and make a comeback to the Indian team before the start of the World Cup. Akshar Patel is not named in the third match against Australia as well.

Meanwhile BCCI had already said that Akshar Patel will be played in the third match only if he is fully fit. Now Akshar Patel’s name is not in the third match. So there are still doubts whether Akshar Patel is fully fit or not.

On the other hand, instead of Akshar Patel, the Indian team management has selected Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar for the match against Australia. So if Akshar did not fully fit before the World Cup. So Ashwin or Sundar might get a chance in his place. All the teams have already announced their 15 player list for the World Cup. However, this list can be changed till 28 September.
