You can now also play the grim soul game Mortal Shell on Switch

I gave the indie soul game Mortal Shell 7/10 in late summer/autumn 2020, and despite some reservations, I enjoyed it at the end of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One era. The game was subsequently updated for the current generation of consoles, two years after its release it is now also coming to Switch.

On Nintendo’s hybrid console, you can buy it in the full edition, which includes a pair of expansions Rotten Autumn and Virtuous Cycle. While the former includes several cosmetic changes, a photo mode and an alternative soundtrack by the band Rotting Christ, the latter significantly modifies the gameplay and turns Mortal Shell into a roguelike.

From the available shots, it is clear that although Mortal Shell on Switch obviously makes major compromises in graphics, the developers at least apparently managed to maintain such a framerate that the game is playable without major problems. The game works natively on the console, it is not a streaming title like some other games.

The authors set the price at less than 30 dollars, that is about 700 crowns.
