This crime thriller is better than ‘Drishyam’, love story entangled in the mystery of maths, if you understand it before the climax then you are genius.

Kareena Kapoor Movie Jaane Jaan: If you liked ‘Drishyam’, then this crime thriller will win your heart. In the film, a murder is accidentally committed by a mother and daughter, and how a maths teacher applies his mathematics to hide it, keeps the audience engaged till the end. Everything is in front of the audience’s eyes, but the way the secret is revealed in the climax can make anyone’s head spin. If you guess the mystery before the climax, you will be called a genius.

New Delhi: Like ‘Drishyam’, in this new film too a family struggles to save itself from unwanted trouble. While in ‘Drishyam’ a father hatches a conspiracy to save his family, in ‘Jaane Jaan’ a maths teacher saves his neighbour. Why does that maths teacher do this? The answer to this is found in the opening scene of the film, when the maths teacher (Jaideep Ahlawat) is trying to end his life when suddenly there is a knock on the door. When the teacher peeks from the side of the door, he finds a beautiful woman (Kareena Kapoor) in front of him. (Photo courtesy: YouTube@Videograb)

It seems as if that moment awakens the maths teacher’s desire to live again. He falls in love with his neighbor Maya D’Souza (Kareena Kapoor), who has come to live there with her daughter. The neighboring maths teacher starts listening to their conversations secretly. A single mother is living a happy life with her daughter in a beautiful city, away from her previous life, when suddenly her abusive husband enters her life, who is bent upon making her life hell again.

In the film, Maya was once a dancer in her previous life. Her name then was Sonia, whose husband Ajit (Saurabh Sachdeva) is a tyrannical and money-greedy policeman, whom Maya left 14 years ago and started living in Kalingpong, a hill station in West Bengal. She has been running the café since then and is focusing on raising her daughter.

One day Ajit suddenly comes to Maya’s house searching for her. Maya wants to get rid of him by giving him money, but her motive is something else. In an attempt to save themselves, the mother and daughter kill Ajit, which lands them in even bigger trouble. In such a situation, their mysterious maths teacher comes to their rescue and how he saves them from the clutches of the police will give you goosebumps.

‘Jaane Jaan’ starring Kareena Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma is streaming on Netflix from September 21. Like his classic movie ‘Kahaani’, Sujoy Ghosh has managed to impress with ‘Jaane Jaan’ also. Vijay Verma also has a very good role in the film. The film not only keeps the audience engaged till its last scene, but also surprises. It will not be surprising if its sequel is made.
