Sunday Brunch star Tim Lovejoy teases I’m A Celebrity stint as ‘surprise late entrant’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Tim Lovejoy has teased this year’s I’m A Celebrity as a late entrant to the series.

The 55-year-old was appearing as host of his usual Sunday Brunch gig and made the revelation while speaking about this year’s programme.

He said: “They didn’t announce me because I’m the surprise, I go in later.”

Co-host Simon Rimmer, 60, asked: “Oh, you go in later?”

Tim then went on to talk to guest Seann Walsh, who came fifth after starring in last year’s series.

“We have last year’s winner, you won last year didn’t you Seann?” he asked.

Seann, 37, answered: “Oh yes, I won. If the fifth wins, then yes I won.”

“You won our hearts,” Tim sweetly informed the comedian.

The line-up for the new series was revealed on Monday with Nigel Farage, This Morning’s Josie Gibson and YouTuber Nella Rose leading the pack.

First Dates star Fred Sirieix, Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, Jamie Lynn-Spears and singer Marvin Humes hope to avoid the dreaded bustucker trials.

Food critic Grace Dent, as well as soap stars Danielle Harold and Nick Pickard, are part of the audience.

In a preview of the first episode, it is revealed that Marvin, Jamie Lynn and Nick will be the first three contestants to take on the Bushtucker trial. After facing the skydive, Marvin, Nick and Jamie Lynn are sent straight into the Serbian Temple.

In a teaser clip for tonight’s episode, the trio must work together to win all their stars.

As the klaxon sounds, Nick is seen lying between Marvin and Jamie with his arms and legs tied to either side of the circle.

Marvin and Jamie are placed in a glass box and have to figure out what the spinning concrete letters spell, while red ants crawl over them.

As Marvin attempts the first word and exclaims: “Oh dear… bugs, bugs, bugs!” before Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reply: “Yes, bugs are right!”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! starting tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
