One of the global icons of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, invited football legend David Beckham to his residence for an exclusive dinner party. He is currently in India to fulfill his commitments as a UNICEF ambassador. The party was a dinner and only 25 people were present.

Sonam represented the Indian culture by wearing a red saree. She added a modern and contemporary touch by pairing the saree with a kaftan style blouse. The actress accessorized her outfit with a choker and statement earrings. Sonam completed her look with a neat bun adorned with red roses.

A source close to the development shared earlier today, “David Beckham is in India for his UNICEF Global Ambassador commitment & will be meeting Sonam & Anand during his trip to Mumbai. The power couple will be hosting David today when he are in Mumbai and invited the city’s crème de la crème icons for dinner at their residence!”

The source added, “It’s a very private affair. We’re hearing that only 25 people have made the cut for this amazing soirée! Sonam & Anand are big entrepreneurs themselves, and Anand is at the top reign with a business empire. Sonam is Bollywood Royalty and a global fashion icon.”

David was at the 2023 India Vs. He interacted with Bollywood celebrities like Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra. Pictures and videos of the footballer enjoying the 2023 World Cup went viral.

On the work front, Sonam is yet to return to acting after her maternity break. Although she has been active in representing India across the world at various levels, she misses the silver screen. After The Zoya Factor, she did not start filming for her next theatrical film. Sonam shot for the film, titled Blind, during the pandemic in Scotland. The remake was released on JioCinema earlier this year.

In a recent statement, she confirmed the news of returning to series with the cinematic adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel Battle for Bittora. Shooting is expected to begin in 2024.
