Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif gearing up for the release of Tiger 3 on Diwali. The film was expected to turn out to be a beast at the ticket window, bringing in impressive numbers. However, with the advance booking reports, it looks like the OG movie of the Spy universe may have fallen behind in terms of numbers.
Pre-booking for the opening day is currently pre-selling approx 1.23 lakh tickets. This is a much lower number compared to the sales of the other releases this year. However, when the pre-booking for the film was announced, the response was overwhelming.
But the buzz seems to have settled down and succumbed to the film’s slower pace. Here are the reported numbers for opening day. One of the possible reasons for such a low count is Diwali, which coincides with the release day of Tiger 3, since people are busy with festivals and Diwali Pooja. Had the film opened a day earlier or later, the numbers could have been completely different.
Currently, Tiger 3 is at number 7 on the list of the best ticket sales of the post-Coron era for the opening day. With 3 days to go before the film’s release, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger triquel has surpassed the ticket sales of Ranveer Singh’s This Is 83 from 1.17 lakh for the opening day.
While there are still almost 72 hours for the release of Tiger 3, the film is likely to settle behind Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, which registered 2.74 lakh advance booking ticket sales for the opening day in the National Cinema chains.
While Tiger 3 currently stands at number 7 and is strongly tipped to overtake Gadar 2’s hilarious number, Brahmastra’s opening day ticket sales number Adipurush is currently an impossible and invalid argument.
It could also be clear that Tiger 3 would not be able to compete with the monstrous numbers registered by the other Spy Universe film Pathaan.
