TZH serves as a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger, which was released back in 2012, continuing the stories of the undercover spy and the best of his lot, Avinash Singh Rathore, aka Tiger, portrayed as if he is no more , towards the ETT end.

A normal story with a great execution!
One thing that makes Tiger Zinda Hai what it is today is its entertaining style of serving interesting content throughout the film. Between hilarity and family sentiments, the script ensures that not a single dead sequence is left in between.
Will Tiger 3 be able to achieve that?
Going by director Maneesh Sharma’s track record, the only thing I’m really worried about is the second half of the film. Sharma is known for being famous in the second half of his films, be it a Shuddh Desi Romance or a Shah Rukh Khan Fan. From what we can understand from the trailer, the post-interval sequences of Salman Khan & Emraan Hashmi’s confrontational scenes, and all the rumored cameos from Shah Rukh Khan to Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR might also happen in the second half. Here’s hoping that everything is going well.
Where are the characters of Tiger 3 now?
Tiger and Zoya both escaped after the successful mission in Iraq to stay in hiding, protecting their family. The call he made to Shenoy (Girish Karnad) was from Greece, but the location could be different as they are hiding. As the trailer already showed, this time, it’s personal; Emraan Hashmi’s villain will try to capture Zoya and her child to come to Salman Khan’s Tiger.
Shah Rukh Khan’s mysterious cameo!
If you think from the perspective of the story, we all know that the next step for YRF from here is Tiger Vs Pathaan (or whatever they call it). Therefore, they may have to rely on the seed of indifference between the two characters from now on. Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo is fine to note; we could probably see Pathaan & Tiger in a disagreement mode about something that would result in the next installment. It could be something like what Marvel did to show Civil War Captain America & Iron Man on the other side.
