Porsche Appoints New CEO of Porsche Engineering

Porsche AG said Monday it has appointed Markus-Christian Eberl as the new chief executive of its Porsche Engineering subsidiary, effective June 1.
The German carmaker said Mr Eberl will replace current Porsche Engineering Chief Executive Peter Schaefer, who will retire on 31 May. Mr. Eberl is currently vice president of technical compliance in Porsche’s research and development department, the company said.
In addition, the German automaker said it has also appointed Dirk Philipp as managing director of commerce and chief operating officer of Porsche Engineering effective January 1. Mr. Philipp had been director of finance and administration at Porsche Engineering since 2011.
