Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Uttarakhand on a one-day visit today i.e. on 12th October. PM will visit Adi Kailash Mountain and Parvati Tal present on the China border in Pithoragarh and meditate here.

Narendra Modi is the first PM of the country, who will visit Adi Kailash mountain on the India-China border in Uttarakhand. The name of the place from where PM will see Mount Kailash is Jolingkong. Its height above sea level is 15000 feet. The border of China starts after a distance of 20 kilometers from here. After this there will be a public meeting in Pithoragarh.

Mount Kailash is clearly visible from the 18 thousand feet high Lipulekh hills of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. The aerial distance of the mountain from here is 50 kilometers.

Timeline of PM’s visit: On the morning of October 12, PM Modi will first visit Parvati Kund located in Jolingkong in Pithoragarh district. After this, PM will meet officials of Army, Border Road Organization and ITBP in Jolingkong. Then the Prime Minister will visit Adi Kailash peak from Adi Kailash View Point. At 12 noon he will worship at Jageshwar Dham temple.

PM will reach the Sports Stadium of Pithoragarh at 2.35 pm, where he will participate in the cultural program and exhibition organized under ‘Local for Vocal’. After this, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects in Pithoragarh and address the public meeting.

Earlier PM Modi was to come to Uttarakhand on a two-day visit, but later it was changed. BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt said that now the PM’s visit is for only one day.

What did Uttarakhand CM say?
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave information about PM Modi’s visit. He told that the Prime Minister is coming on a tour of Uttarakhand. He will hold a public meeting in Pithoragarh. PM will visit Adi Kailash located in Jolingkong, Parvati Tal, Gunji and Jageshwar Dham located in Almora. Here the PM will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects. Pushkar Singh Dhami had said that tourism will definitely increase in Kumaon division with the arrival of PM Modi.
