Special Parliament Session Live Updates: Today is the fourth day of the special session called by the Central Government. Discussion on Women’s Reservation Bill 2023 is going on in Rajya Sabha today. Seven and a half hours have been fixed for discussion on this bill in the Rajya Sabha. The Union Law Minister introduced the bill in the Rajya Sabha and then the discussion began. Let us tell you that the bill was passed in the Lok Sabha last Wednesday. A total of 454 votes were cast in favor of the bill.

During this, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP and National President JP Nadda said that this bill is for equality of women. He also said that I hope that this bill will be passed in the Rajya Sabha without any hindrance. As soon as the Rajya Sabha proceedings began this morning, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal started the discussion. The discussion on the success of Chandrayaan-3 is going on in the Lok Sabha.

Let us tell you that the bill was passed in the Lok Sabha last Wednesday. A total of 454 votes were cast in favor of the bill. Whereas a total of two votes were cast in opposition. This bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday. Last Wednesday, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal started the discussion and then former National President of Congress Party Sonia Gandhi took part in the discussion.

After this, a total of 60 members including Rahul Gandhi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani participated in the discussion on this bill. These included 27 women members. All opposition parties in the House including Congress, SP, DMK, TMC had supported the bill. However, AIMIM had opposed the bill. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present in the House when the bill was passed.
