ANI, New Delhi. The government has launched Operation Ajay for the return of Indians trapped in the war in Israel to their homeland. Under Operation Ajay, Indian citizens stranded there will be brought safely to India.
Foreign Minister Jaishankar gave information
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar wrote on Twitter that Operation Ajay is being launched for the return of our citizens returning from Israel. He said that special charter flights and other arrangements are being made for this. Jaishankar said that we are fully committed to the safety and well-being of our citizens abroad.
Indians will return to their homeland safely
News agency ANI informed that amidst this announcement by the Indian Government, the Indian Embassy in Israel said that Operation Ajay will start from Thursday. The Embassy said that Indian citizens registered for the special flight have been informed.

India has already launched the campaign
The embassy said that this is not the first time that the government has launched operations to rescue Indians stranded in a war zone. India has earlier evacuated its citizens from war zones, pandemics and natural disasters.
What was Operation Ganga?
Earlier, India had launched ‘Operation Ganga’ to evacuate Indian students from Ukraine. About 20,000 people were stranded in Ukraine during the Russian war, who were evacuated under Operation Ganga.
