Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the G20 University Connect Program at the Bharat Mandapam on September 26. He said that we successfully organized such a big event G20. I am not at all surprised, because the program which the youth takes up the responsibility of making is sure to be successful. Because of you people, India has become a happening place.
The Prime Minister also said that I am accused of putting people in jail. You tell me where should be the place for those who steal the country’s goods.
This program was organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Many institutions like IIT, IIM, NIT and medical colleges participated in it. In this, lakhs of students from universities across the country connected with each other.
Big points of PM Modi’s speech…
Gave report card of last 30 days work
I want to give you a recap of the last 30 days. This will tell you both the speed and scale of the new India. On August 23, everyone was praying that everything would be fine, nothing should go wrong. Then everyone’s face lit up. With Chandrayaan-3 reaching the Moon, 23 August became National Space Day.
India’s diplomacy has reached new heights in the last 30 days. Due to India’s efforts, 6 new countries joined the BRICS Committee. Then I went to Greece. This was the first visit of an Indian PM in the last 40 years.
Before the G20 Summit, I attended the ASEAN and East Asia Summits in Indonesia. Then we held the G20 summit. Organizing such a big event is not a small task. Even if you plan a picnic, you don’t know where to go.
In the G20 Summit itself, we decided to build the India Middle East Corridor. Met heads of state of 85 countries in the last 30 days. That’s almost half the world. When new countries join India, we get new partners, new markets, our country benefits from all this. The state visit to Saudi Arabia started after the G20 summit.
Vishwakarma Yojana was launched in these 30 days. This will benefit 18 people involved in traditional businesses. Only last week the Women’s Reservation Bill was passed by the Parliament. 9 Vande Bharat trains were flagged off in one day, for the first time so many trains were flagged off in the country.
regarding immortality
I appreciate our youth for the G20 in this program. Today India is in its nectar period, this is the nectar generation period for people like you. We are going to complete 100 years of the country’s independence. The time till 2047 is the time in which the youth will build their future.
on India’s progress
The next 25 years are as important for your future as they are for the future of the country. Such a time has never come before in the world, nor will it get a chance to come in the future. We are the fastest growing economy in the world. In a record short time, we became the 5th economy from the 10th economy. The world has confidence in India, investment has reached record levels. Many records have been made in exports and manufacturing. 13.5 crore people have come out of poverty.
Students from 12 different countries participated in the program
PM Modi wrote a post about the G20 University Connect event on social media platform LinkedIn on September 24. In this he said that the most special thing about the event is that students from 12 different countries will participate in it. Apart from this, 10 countries of G20 also participated. All of them will discuss on Youth for Life (Lifestyle and Environment). PM Modi further said that he is very excited to hear the experiences of youth power in the G20 University Connect programme.
