Launch of new generation Tata Harrier and Safari today | Mileage claim of more than 16kmpl, safety features like level-2 ADAS and 7 airbags

Tata Motors has unveiled the new generation models of Harrier and Safari today (10 October). The company has given the same updated diesel engine setup in both the cars, which has improved their mileage. The company claims that both the SUV cars give a mileage of more than 16 kmpl.

Both the updated SUVs are built on the OmegaMark platform inspired by Land Rover’s D8 platform. In these, the company has given safety features like Level-2 ADAS and 7 airbags. Their booking was started from 6th October. Buyers can make booking by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000.

Tata Harrier and Safari: Expected Price

The company has not disclosed the price of the new Tata Safari and Tata Harrier. After the update, their prices may be kept higher than the current model. Currently the ex-showroom price of the new Safari ranges between Rs 15.85 to Rs 25.21 lakh. It will compete with MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra Scorpio and Hyundai Alcazar.

At the same time, the current ex-showroom price of Tata Harrier is between Rs 15.20 to 24.27 lakh. In the segment it will compete with Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Jeep Compass. Apart from this, it will also be compared with the top variants of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Tata Harrier and Safari: Performance
As before, the 2023 Tata Safari and Tata Harrier have a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, which generates maximum power of 170 ps and peak torque of 350 Nm. The engine is tuned with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
