The first match of India-Australia ODI series is being played at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Team India has decided to field after winning the toss.

Batting first, the Australian team scored 163 runs for four wickets in 34 overs. Cameron Green and Josh Innings are at the crease.

Maransh Labuschagne was out after scoring 39 runs. He was stumped by Ravichandran Ashwin at the hands of wicketkeeper KL Rahul.

Earlier, Mohammed Shami dismissed Steve Smith (41 runs) and Mitchell Marsh (4 runs). Ravindra Jadeja got David Warner (52 runs) caught by Shubman Gill.

Opener David Warner scored the 29th fifty of his ODI career. He completed his half-century in 49 balls. Warner was out after scoring 52 runs on 53 balls at a strike rate of 98.11. His innings included 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Warner-Smith took over Australia
After losing the wicket of Mitchell Marsh for 4 runs, David Warner and Steve Smith took over the Australian innings. Both of them made a partnership of 94 runs on 106 balls for the second wicket. This partnership was broken by Ravindra Jadeja by dismissing Warner.

Powerplay- Australia’s average start
The Australian team, which came to bat after losing the toss, had an average start. The team scored 42 runs for one wicket in the first 10 overs. Mohammed Shami gave success to the Indian team in the very first over. He dismissed opener Mitchell Marsh for 4 runs.
