To avoid overcrowding, a skywalk with modern facilities has been built at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. It has been prepared in one and a half years at a cost of Rs 15 crore. It reflects the nine forms of Maa Durga which has been named Nav Durga Path. A 60 meter long cave has been built at the entrance so that the devotees can feel the ancient cave of Maa Vaishno Devi.

The Navdurga path of the skywalk at the entrance of the building will welcome the devotees on Shardiya Navratri and its artistry will provide them a unique experience. Idols of nine forms of Mother Vaishno Devi have been decorated on both sides. Along with this, verses and mantras of Mata Vaishno Devi etc. have been mentioned, so that an atmosphere full of devotion is maintained.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had proposed the Skywalk project to organize the movement of devotees at Vaishno Devi Bhawan. The skywalk will be 20 feet above the surface and will provide ease of travel for devotees between Manokama Bhawan and Gate No. 3.
The skywalk flyover has wooden flooring. There will be no problem in walking barefoot. There are mirrors in the flyover. This will not only give you darshan of Mother Goddess but will also protect you from cold. LED screens have been installed at various places on the way, through which one can see the darshan of the building and the morning and evening aarti.
