While giving information about Jio AirFiber during the AGM, Reliance had said that the company will provide internet facility to 20 crore homes through this device. Jio AirFiber works like a plug and play device. This device catches the signal from the company’s tower and provides you hotspot service.

Jio had conducted its consumer trial in cities where its 5G rollout has been completed. The company had also given devices to some selected users so that it could be thoroughly tested before launch.

Last month, Bharti Airtel launched its FWA Xstream AirFiber in Mumbai and Delhi. The price of this device is Rs 2,500. Its monthly subscription is Rs 799. Airtel is currently offering six months subscription and for this, Rs 7,300 is being charged from the users. Experts say that Airtel has already launched its device. In such a situation, Jio can give discount or offer free trial for some time. It is believed that Jio AirFiber can be launched in the market for around Rs 6,000.
