Rajinikanth’s jailer did business worth more than 650 crores
Rajinikanth’s film was released worldwide on 10 August. After a successful run in theaters for over a month, it grossed over Rs 650 crore worldwide. Giving an update on the record-breaking collection of Jailer, Manobala Vijayabalan said that the film was a ‘huge blockbuster’, adding that ‘it has made three times the profit for everyone involved in the film.’ Jailer collected Rs 343.47 crore across all languages in India.
The film collected this much every week
The Tamil film, which has been dubbed into Hindi, Kannada and Telugu, grossed Rs 48.35 crore across all languages in India on its opening day. In the first week, Jailer earned Rs 235.85 crore across all languages in India. In the second week it earned Rs 62.95 crores, in the third week it earned Rs 29.75 crores and in the fourth week it collected another Rs 13.01 crores. The Tamil action comedy was written and directed by Nelson and stars Vijay, Pooja Hegde and Selvaraghavan in the lead roles. It revolves around an ex-RAW agent trying to rescue people held hostage in a shopping mall by terrorists.
Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 created a stir at the box office
Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 was released in theaters on 11 August. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the audience regarding the film. Everyone clapped a lot from Tara Singh’s hand pump scene to Hathoda. Talking about business, the movie set the box office on fire upon its release with a spectacular opening of Rs 40.1 crore. It had collected Rs 23 crore in the first week. It earned Rs 8 crore in the second week, Rs 7 crore in the third week, Rs 1.08 crore in the fourth week and Rs 0.80 crore in the fifth week. This film remained in theaters for more than a month and is still giving competition to Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan. Now, Gadar 2 has collected Rs 44 lakh in India in 36 days. With this, the total domestic earning of the film has become Rs 517.72 crore. Sunny’s film aims to beat the collection of Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’, which had earned Rs 543.05 crore in India.

Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan is rapidly moving towards number 1, breaking the records of every film. The film directed by Atlee crossed the Rs 700 crore mark at the worldwide box office within just 9 days of its release. Trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan shared the details of the film’s earnings in the last nine days, stating that the Shah Rukh Khan starrer earned around Rs 125 crore worldwide on the first day, Rs 109 crore on the second day, Rs 140 crore on the third day. It collected Rs 157 crore on the fourth day, Rs 52.39 crore on the fifth day, Rs 38.21 crore on the sixth day, Rs 34.06 crore on the seventh day, Rs 28.79 crore on the eighth day and Rs 26.35 crore on the ninth day.
India earned so much from Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan
Fans in India are crazy about Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan. According to Sacnilk.com, in India, Jawan earned ₹ 90 crore on the first day of its release, ₹ 64 crore on the 2nd day, ₹ 93.5 crore on the 3rd day, ₹ 96.3 crore on the 4th day, ₹ 40 crore on the 5th day. Earned Rs 31.2 crore on the sixth day, Rs 28 crore on the seventh day and Rs 25.9 crore on the eighth day. The total earning of the film in the first week was Rs 468.9 crore.
