At the same time, some people have pointed towards Pakistani cricketer Rizwan offering namaz on the field during the first match and expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza and alleged that the cricketer himself had brought religion on the field. Udhayanidhi Stalin said on social media site X (formerly Twitter) that India is famous for its sports spirit and hospitality. Such behavior with players from neighboring countries is very low level.

Spreading hatred is condemnable – Udhayanidhi Stalin

He said that the treatment meted out to Pakistani players at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad was unacceptable and a new low. Sports should become a unifying force among countries, promoting true brotherhood. Using it as a tool to spread hatred is condemnable.

Udhayanidhi was in trouble after commenting on Sanatan

Earlier, Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks on Sanatan Dharma had created controversy. MK Stalin’s son and DMK leader Udhayanidhi had said that Sanatan Dharma was against the idea of social justice and should be “eradicated”. He compared Sanatan Dharma to malaria and dengue and talked about eradicating it. After this statement he came under attack from BJP. Now he has termed the sloganeering against the Pakistani cricketer during the match as wrong.

BJP spokesperson’s counterattack

On this comment of Udhayanidhi, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia posted on X and said, “This disgusting dengue, malaria mosquito has come out again to spread poison. When the match is stopped for namaz on the field, you do not have any problem. ” Gaurav Bhatia said that our Lord Ram resides in every corner of the universe, hence say Jai Shri Ram. Trinamool Congress MP Saket Gokhale has also condemned the slogans raised to surround the Pakistani cricketer.

MP Saket Gokhale said, PM Modi very much wants India to host the 2036 Olympics. But if BJP has reduced our audience to such a level where they harass a Pakistani player with slogans of Jai Shri Ram, then there is doubt whether we are worthy of hosting an international sporting event. Let us tell you that in the match held on Saturday, India had won against Pakistan by 7 wickets.
