I was also born here. This is the land of my gurus and my ancestors.
Let us tell you that Khalistani supporter Shubhajeet is being opposed in India. Shubh is accused of supporting Khalistani groups and sharing wrong map of India. Pro Khalistani-Canadian rapper Shubh’s Mumbai concert has been cancelled. Book My Show company has also started refunding the ticket money of all those who had purchased tickets for the show. The company has said that the refund process will take about 7-10 working days.
‘My dream is to put music on the international stage’
Rapper Shubh made long posts on Instagram after the show was canceled in India. He wrote, as a young rapper-singer coming from Punjab, India, it is the dream of my life to put my music on the international stage. But recent events have affected my hard work and progress. I want to say a few words to express my disappointment and sorrow.
‘Destiny had something else in mind’
Further said, I am extremely disappointed with the cancellation of my tour in India. I was very excited to perform in my country, in front of my people. Preparations were in full swing and I had been practicing wholeheartedly for the last two months. I was very excited, happy and ready to perform. But I think destiny had something else in mind.
‘Punjab is my soul…Punjab is in my blood’
Shubh said, India is my country too. I was born here. This is the land of my gurus and my ancestors, who did not think even a moment to sacrifice for the freedom of this land, for its glory. Punjab is my soul, Punjab is in my blood. Whatever I am today, I am because of being Punjabi. Punjabis do not need to give proof of patriotism. At every turn of history, Punjabis have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of this country. Therefore, my humble request is that you should avoid labeling every Punjabi as a separatist or anti-national.
‘I will continue to work hard’
Shubh said that my intention in re-sharing that post on my story was only to pray for Punjab, as there were reports of power and internet shutdown in the entire state. I had no other thought behind this. Certainly it was not the intention to hurt anyone’s sentiments. The allegations against me have deeply affected me. But as my Guru taught me – to consider all human beings equal and taught me not to be afraid, not to be afraid, which is the core of Punjabiyat. I will continue to work hard. I and my team will be back soon, bigger and stronger. Waheguru may please bless you.
