India: Guard of Honor given to South Korea Chief of Staff, participated in Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs Conference – South Korea Chief Of Staff Jeong Hwan Is On India Tour


South Korea’s Chief of Staff General Park Jeong-hwan is on a visit to India. He was welcomed with a guard of honor in New Delhi. During this, aspects of common interests and ways to further strengthen defense cooperation between the two armies were discussed. After reaching the National War Memorial, the General of the Korean Army offered flowers. Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pandey warmly welcomed Republic of Korea’s Chief of Staff General Park Jeong Hwan.

The 13th biennial IPACC, 47th Annual Indo-Pacific Army Management Seminar (IPAMS), and 9th Senior Enlisted Forum were hosted by the Indian and US armies in the national capital from September 25 to September 27.

The objective of these meetings is to promote peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region through mutual understanding, dialogue and friendship. The official release from the US Embassy said that senior land commanders will have a space to share opinions and ideas as well as enhance and deepen their relationships. The theme of this year’s conference is “Together for Peace: Sustaining Peace and Stability in the Indo-Pacific Region.
