I’m A Celeb bosses slammed by Kathy Burke for taking on ‘hate-baiting c***’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Actress Kathy Burke has taken a fierce jibe at ITV bosses as she was shortlisted this year for I’m A Celebrity… Find Out! exposed.

The 59-year-old comedian didn’t hold back, as she took to X (Twitter) to share her thoughts on this year’s campers with her 551,900 followers.

“Quick, @itv there’s another hatemonger available for hate-baiting,” she wrote.

The timing of Kathy’s tweet did not go unnoticed, as it came just after the news that Suella Braverman had been removed from her role as Home Secretary.

It can be assumed that while Kathy was aiming a brutal dig at Suella, she was also slamming ITV bosses’ decision to cast another politician in this year’s series.

Former UKIP Leader and GB News presenter Nigel Farage’s decision also sparked some controversy.

Nigel led the stars in Australia ahead of the launch of the show last Sunday, as he was spotted landing at Brisbane airport.

Speaking to the press, he said: “I’m just here surfing for the week. I cannot confirm that I am doing it [I’m A Celebrity] but I might be.”

“I’ve been messing around on TikTok for the past few months and you’d be surprised, a lot of young people out there are interested in what I have to say.”

Nigel continued: “I think there’s a big young audience out there who watch the show that’s worth talking to.

The bold move to dump Nigel comes after former Health Secretary Matt Hancock went into the jungle with plenty of anger, as many in the public believe he has a lot to answer for in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Other celebrities rumored to be joining this year’s I’m A Celeb line-up include Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn Spears, First Dates star Fred Sirieix and This Morning’s Josie Gibson.

Express.co.uk has contacted ITV representatives Nigel Farage and Suella Braverman for comment.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! starting on November 19 on ITV.
