Head of TotalEnergies met Mozambique President to discuss humanitarian situation

PARIS, Feb 3 (Reuters) – TotalEnergies Chairman and CEO Patrick Pouyanne met with Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi on Friday to discuss the humanitarian situation in the Cabo Delgado province of – the country, where TotalEnergies has a project, said the oil company.

The French company added that it entrusted Jean-Christophe Rufin, who it said was an expert in humanitarian action and human rights, with an independent mission to assess the humanitarian situation in the province of Cabo Delgado. (Reporting by Sudip Kar-Gupta, Editing by Louise Heavens)
