About three years ago, in October 2020, HDFC Bank had handed over the responsibility of CEO and MD to Shashidhar Jagadishan in place of Aditya Puri. Since then, the second major change has taken place in the top management. According to the memo sent by the bank to the employees on the night of Sunday 1 October, the information technology and digital functions are now under the direct control of the CEO under the leadership of Ramesh Lakshminarayan. The reason for this change is that the bank’s emphasis is on technology to increase services. Apart from this, the command of retail branch business including deposits and product distribution has now been given to Ashish Parthasarathy.
