Fortnite developer Epic Games is taking the game offline for extended maintenance as part of the launch of update 27.10, which kicks off OG Season 7 and 8. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC, update 27.10 will be available for download on the morning of November 16. It will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, meaning you won’t be able to play Fortnite for at least a few hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Fortnite, check the 27.10 server downtime schedule below.
Epic Games announced the news on Twitter, along with details on when servers will be taken offline for maintenance.
“What do you call frozen pirate treasure? … Pol-arrr loot!” reads Epic’s tweet.
“The timeline for v27.10 starts at 4:00 ET and matching will be disabled shortly before.”
For UK fans, this means Fortnite will be taken completely offline at 9am GMT, with matchmaking disabled at 8.30am.
Epic has not indicated when exactly the downtime will end, but the maintenance usually lasts for a few hours.
This means Fortnite should be back online by 11am UK GMT at the latest.
As part of the update, Epic will bring back Frosty Flights and a snow biome. That’s in addition to the Pirate Camps, “swashbuckling gear” and various weapons and items.
Unarmored weapons include the Flint-Knock Pistol, the Minigun, and the powerful Quad Launcher.
Players will also be able to use the Poison Dart Trap, although not in Zero Build. The Itemized Glider Redeploy will also make a return, not to mention Buried Treasure, which should play up some challenges.
Perhaps most exciting of all is the return of the X-4 Stormwing and the Pirate Cannon, which allow you to launch your teammates.
