A film of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu was released in the year 2006. This is the same film with which Mahesh Babu came into limelight. This film was ‘Pokiri’. Just 3 years after the film’s release, the film was remade in Bollywood, which revived Salman Khan’s fortunes.

The film ‘Pokiri’ was made only for Rs 12 crores and earned around Rs 70 crores. This film, made in the year 2006, set such records of success that even today this film is used as an example in Telugu movies. The budget of the film was only Rs 12 crore and the film made huge profits and made the makers rich.

The earning of the film was approximately Rs 70 crores. After the film became a blockbuster, this film was remade in Bollywood. Bobby Kapoor had invested in the film and the film was directed by Prabhu Deva and the name of this film was ‘Wanted’.
