Fantastic Four cast – Star Wars, James Bond stars and more ‘set to sign on’ | Films | Entertainment

The Fantastic Four did not have a great run at the cinema, with both iterations by 20th Century Fox panned by critics.

However, now that Disney owns the rights the MCU can finally do justice to Marvel’s First Family.

John Krasinski contributed to the fan-cast version of Mr. Fantastic we had in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness last year.

But it was quickly killed off and it’s clear that Marvel Studios has plans for an all-new Fantastic Four, with their MCU debut slated for release in February 2025.

Before the Hollywood actors’ strike, there were rumors of the likes of Adam Driver, Matt Smith and Jake Gyllenhaal for Reed Richards, while Margot Robbie and Emma Stone came up for Sue Storm.

However, it now looks like the team is finalized to be officially announced very soon.

Deadline Report that Pedro Pascal, the Mandalorian lead from Star Wars, is in talks to bag Mr Fantastic, with social media claiming it has already been done.

Meanwhile, respect scooper Jeff Sneider confirmed this and claimed that Vanessa Kirby from Mission Impossible is “widely” cast as Mrs Fantastic or Invisible Woman.

In addition, Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn is expected to be cast as Johnny Storm aka Human Torch and The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka the Thing.

As for the Fantastic Four villain, James Bond villain star Javier Bardem is “front-runner” to play Galactus. And Antonio Banderas is also in the running for the part.

Meanwhile, in other Marvel news, Shang-Chi Destin director Daniel Cretton has stepped down from helming Avengers 2026: The Kang Dynasty. The reason given is that it will focus on the Disney + series Wonder Man and Shang-Chi 2 .

Fantastic Four is set to hit cinemas on 14 February 2025.
