Sparks flew in Tuesday night’s NBA action when Markieff Morris and Jeremy Sochan got into an altercation during the Brooklyn Nets vs. San Antonio Spurs game. With Morris and Sochan clashing early in the game, fans on Twitter couldn’t resist submitting their reactions to the ad.

The Raptors-Bucks game also saw a strange altercation between Brooke Lopez and Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. However, the confrontation between Morris and Sochan was much more aggressive.

The situation arose from the pressure that built up during the game. The game was closely fought until the second quarter. While the Nets pulled away, both teams felt the tension rising.

At this point, a simple screen-and-roll action became the focal point of the argument. As Nets star Ben Simmons brought the ball in, Morris set up a screen over Sochan, who was guarding Simmons.

Morris’ screen came off a bit badly as he swung and shoved the Spurs rookie, causing Sochan to fall to the ground. However, Sochan also linked his arm with that of the veteran to pull him along.

When they both hit the ground, they both immediately got up and attacked each other. Spurs center Zach Collins intervened and immediately pushed Morris away from his teammate. Officers came in to deal with the situation, but the benches had already been cleared by this time.

With Brooklyn not missing in San Antonio, the Spurs could have benefited from the altercation. The Nets continue to struggle without their superstar Kevin Durant and another loss on the books means disappointment.

Jeremy Sochan shakes up the Brooklyn Nets

San Antonio Spurs rookie Jeremy Sochan played a big part in Tuesday night’s altercation. Although he was directly involved as well, Sochan played a key role in stirring things up.

Early in the second quarter, Sochan hit an important three pointer to close the gap between the Spurs and the Nets. While this may seem like a fairly common occurrence, the rookie was seen trash-chatting with Markieff Morris on his way down.

With Morris reacting in kind, Sochan managed to hold his own as things went downhill for the veteran. Several fans have also referred to the rookie as the second coming of Dennis Rodman in San Antonio. Sochan is definitely making a name for himself.

After the altercation, Markieff Morris was charged with an offensive foul on the game. However, for the response, Jeremy Sochan also received a flagrant foul penalty 1.

While such a situation would have had a negative impact on the young Spurs team, San Antonio managed to leave with the victory. With Spurs forward Keldon Johnson leading the scoring charts, the team recorded a 106-98 victory over the Nets.
