When the first season of The real housewives of Beverly Hills debuted in 2010, Kyle Richards and Game Lisa Vanderpump on friendship seemed the most solid of the bunch. The restaurateur and the former child actress-turned-businesswoman were friends long before production began on the reality series. Mellencamp accused Vanderpump of dropping Kemsley with the shelter killing incident to regain control of the story and do some PR work for her charity, in another accusation that the restaurant mogul was feeding stories to the press. When Richards refused to side with Vanderpump, their friendship seemed damaged, especially after Kyle’s previous suspicions about a possible leak in the press.
Vanderpump quit the series after this season, not even attending the reunion episode due to her hurt feelings and betrayal over the fallout. Instead, she chose to focus entirely on her spin-off, Vanderpump Rules. “The purpose of the reunion is to get together again, right?” Vanderpump said at the time. “And I have no intention of getting back together with the women who have been harassing me for 10 months now.”
Since then, Richards has claimed that Vanderpump does not return her messages and calls, and that he is estranged from his former boss. Beverly Hills castmates. Speaking in 2019, Richards said that “the ball is in [Vanderpump’s] court” regarding possible reconciliation.

“I’ve had my issues with her, but I see that there’s more to me than that. I see it as a relationship that I cherished,” continued Lisa. “And I’ve been married forever and a day, and it’s hard to have a relationship.”
When asked about the comments at Page Six at the same event, Richards had a similar tone. “I really appreciated her words. That was very, very kind [Lisa].”
The actress and reality star was also quite complimentary of her former co-star. “She also has a long and successful marriage,” she continued. “I still consider my marriage to Mauricio to be successful. We are still a love story. I love it very much.”
So far, things seem to be amicable between Richards and Vanderpump. Whether this is evidence of a truce between the two parties made behind the scenes, or an olive branch extended by Lisa in hard times, is still up for debate. If the stars of Bravo TV have truly put their past behind them, this will be more evident in the future.
