Demand for new Kia Seltos increased, more than 50,000 bookings received in 2 months

Bookings for the 2023 Kia Seltos have crossed the 50,000 mark, becoming a preferred choice among Indian customers

Kia India today announced that the Seltos facelift has achieved 50,000 bookings within 2 months of its launch in the market. With this, the South Korean manufacturer has become one of the fastest manufacturers to achieve the feat in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. Apart from this, Kia has also crossed the figure of 4 lakh domestic sales this month.

Since its inception, the Kia Seltos has contributed a total of 5.47 lakh units in terms of domestic sales and exports from its Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh and was the first model launched by the brand when it was launched in 2019. Kia India has said that 77 percent of the total bookings have come for the top-spec variants (HTX and above). The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift reached 31,700 bookings in just a month since its launch in the market in July. According to Kia, about 47 percent of all bookings have been made for variants with ADAS.

Speaking on the success of the new Seltos, Myung-Sik Sohn, Chief Sales and Business Officer, Kia India, said, “The Seltos has become one of the most reliable and comfortable driving experiences for the new-age customers. The design and technology splash factor combined with the value proposition of the car is hard to achieve and is a big reason behind its huge success. In response to the huge demand, we have also optimized our production to keep the waiting period to a minimum so that our customers do not have to wait to buy their favorite SUV.

The facelifted Kia Seltos comes with Level 2 ADAS technology, which includes 17 features. At the same time, it has features like dual pan sunroof, 26.04 cm fully digital cluster with dual screen display and 26.03 cm HD touchscreen navigation, dual zone fully automatic air conditioner, R18 46.20 cm crystal cut glossy black alloy wheels, 6 airbags. On an average, Kia Seltos is getting 806 bookings every day and 40 percent of the customers have chosen the diesel variant.

The 2023 Kia Seltos draws power from a new 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine that produces 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. At the same time, 1.5 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine options are also available in it.

Its 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine develops 113 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque and is paired with 6-speed manual and IVT transmission. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 113 bhp power and 250 Nm torque and is paired with IMT and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
