Child artist Darsheel Safary surprised everyone with his powerful acting in the Aamir Khan starrer film ‘Taare Zameen Par’, released in 2007. After this film, Darsheel was seen in films like ‘Bam Bam Bole’, ‘Jokkomon’ and ‘Midnight Children’.
After this, Darsheel took a break of 10 years and made a comeback with the Gujarati film ‘Kutch Express’ released this year. Now 26 years old, Darsheel told in an interview that even today people advise him that he should ask for work from Aamir Khan, whereas Darsheel finds it strange to do so.

In an interview given to Siddharth Kanan, when Darsheel was asked whether he felt that Aamir did not push his career? So Darsheel said, ‘Not at all… I am very shy.’ I find these things very strange.
I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked whether you are still in touch with Aamir uncle? Message them, call them.. this and that.. but I feel shy to do all this. I think this should all happen on its own…’

In the interview, Darsheel told that he never asked for work from Aamir Khan. The actor said, ‘I never understood the concept of ‘someone has a hand on you’. However, whatever work I did after Taare Zameen Par was somehow related to Aamir Khan. Aamir always knew that I was doing this project. This is like a blessing for me.

These days Darsheel is promoting his upcoming film ‘Hukas-Bukas’. In the film, he will be seen in the role of a Kashmiri youth who is inspired by Sachin Tendulkar. Apart from him, ‘Ramayana’ fame Arun Govil will also be seen in this.
