Canadian National Railway Expects Softer FY23 EPS Growth

Canadian National Railway Co. it expects its earnings per share growth in 2023 to be in the low single-digit range, citing a softer economic outlook.
The freighter reported Tuesday that its 2022 earnings per share rose 8% from a year earlier to C$7.44. Adjusted earnings per share for the year rose 24% to C$7.46.
Despite expectations for a softer economy, CEO Tracy Robinson said the company expects its disciplined operating model and back-to-basics strategy to continue to deliver in 2023.
