Today a protest is being organized by the BJP at Chaura Maidan in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. BJP plans to siege the assembly. BJP leaders and workers started gathering at Chauda Maidan at 11 am on Monday morning for the protest.
Today, the proceedings of the last day of monsoon session in Himachal Pradesh Assembly will start from 2:00 pm. Before that, it is sitting on a dharna in the wide ground near the BJP Assembly. BJP is raising hue and cry against the government on various issues like not allocating disaster relief properly, not implementing guarantees given to the public, inflation etc. In view of the demonstration, a large number of police forces have been deployed in Chaura Maidan.
