Dolly Sohi, who recently made a comeback on the daily soap, Parineetii, was diagnosed with cervical cancer. The actress shared the news in the midst of treatment. Dolly wrote an encouraging note on Instagram.
Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Thank you everyone for sending your love and prayers. Life has been a roller coaster lately, But if you have the strength to deal with it, your an easier trip. It is up to you what you choose to be a Trip Victim (CANCER) Or Journey Survivor.”

In an interview with ETimes, Dolly revealed, “I had some symptoms 6-7 months ago but I was not aware of it.f it and I ignored them. But when the pain became unbearable, I visited my gynecologist and did a few tests. At first I was told I would have to have my uterus removed, but with further tests I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, I had symptoms and then after a few more tests the full treatment process began.”
In October, Dolly confirmed her return to Parineetii. Talking about her comeback, the actor said in a statement, “I have completed my shoots for the upcoming show `Jhanak`, in Kolkata and Kashmir. And after returning back to Mumbai, I was informed about my character coming back on `Parineetii`. I could easily manage as we are yet to start shooting for `Jhanak’ here in Mumbai.”
She added, “Parineetii’, is produced by Balaji Telefilms. The production is very close to my heart as I made my successful debut with them as Ranoo in 2000 with `Kalash’ and the relationship with Ekta Kapoor became more stronger than every other show I’ve acted in. She’s humble and kind. It’s like going back to my home for me.”
Dolly will be seen playing the antagonist in the upcoming show, titled Jhanak. Directed by Leena Gangopadhyay, the show revolves around Jhanak and she never stops to fulfill her dream. When tragedy strikes her family, she must rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Hiba Nawab is the pioneer of Jhanak. It will be broadcast in November 2023.
