Alia Bhatt he is often targeted by trolls on social media and is not at ease. Ignoring people’s opinions and harsh reactions to everything she does, the actress has maintained a dignified silence on several matters. However, on Koffee With Karan 8, she let her thoughts flow without interruption. When asked by host Karan Johar, who is also her mentor and friend, about reading misconceptions about herself on social media, Alia silenced the troll with her response.
Alia said, “It’s the age of the internet, there’s a misunderstanding every week. Someday I got buccal fat surgery, someday I’m whitening my skin, someday I have marriage problems. Those misunderstandings are not they do. You don’t bother me. You do, I do.”
When Karan asked her what she would say if she had to make an automated message for trolls, Alia shared, “Hi, this is Alia Bhatt. If you feel better about what you’re going to say , go ahead and leave a message after beep.”
On the episode, Alia also reacted to her viral lipstick video creating controversy on social media and how people labeled Ranbir Kapoor as a ‘toxic husband’. She said, “I have a candid way of talking. When I’m talking about anything in life, I imitate the person I’m talking about, I like to tell stories. I like to make it personal. I feel a lot of the story. things are taken out of context that happened recently with a video. I was watching and my team said to me, “This is getting out of hand. And I was like OK, OK. He let go. People will say things all the time.” But then I realized that there are serious articles talking about how he is a toxic man. Are we serious? I said in a completely different context. The only reason I felt bad or that I feel bad than if people misunderstand because it’s the opposite.”
She added, “There’s also a line that I feel is being crossed. You can’t say anything, people can say what they want. Ranbir says, “Alia, the audience is yours. They can say whatever the hell they want about you. As long as your films are doing well, please don’t complain, sitting in your apartment in Bandra.”
